Spectating my boys play and i hear the one playing lux say "wait who stole it?!?!?!?!?", "wait what, i got the kill and the assist?!?!?!?!" and sure as hell enough, 3 minutes later i watch lux secure a kill, and an assist at the same time.
This is a new one for me, been playing a long time and never once saw this happen.
Edit: Im assuming this was an error including pyke and his splash image and was not in fact a solo kill.

This is happening a lot recently. Some random champions will gain a blue square around their portrait as an assist, in addition to their champion kill. Not to mention Pyke's CD on his ult is getting wonky af, with it being marked ready and there being no way to cast it for upwards of 20 seconds at a time.
I remember seeing my pyke die to the enemy pyke in a 1 v 1
but the enemy pyke was assisted.... by pyke.
I don't even think his ult was involved in any of that.
Just played a game as Jhin. Got a kill on the enemy kindred and was the only one who hit her and I got an assist as well as the kill in the feed. Weird. Wonder if I got assist gold and kill gold lol
