Game minutes behind, invisible people, and now not installing

EDIT : Forgot to put it in the title (sorry! :c) but this is about the {CLIENT}

I am posting here for my boyfriend since he is too lazy to do it himself right now.

The other day he had a problem where all of the icons for everything in DQ (like the summoner spell icons, pictures, etc) were much larger than they usually are. When he got into game, he could not see anyone, could not target anything. If he hovered over people he could see their outlines but he could not attack minions.

He logged out and then came back in, and it was fine for a while and he could see stuff. In another game, he started lagging, horribly, out of nowhere. Like, everything he was seeing was a couple minutes behind. For example, the enemy Zed took our inhib. My bf was standing in base, he did not actually see the Zed destroy the inhib until a minute or two later.

He has tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game multiple times, and now it is taking incredibly long to reinstall. It's been about 30 minutes, it stayed at 0%, and then he tried restarting it and 15 minutes later its at 1%. He has told me it never took this long.

He said he tried deleting acceptable files using the FAQ and that hasn't worked, but reinstalling the game should've reset everything so he isn't sure what the issue is. He tried updating the software on his computer

He is on a Mac

So basically, to recap

• Game doesn't allow him to target minions, all champions are invisible and can only be seen by hovering over them to display outlines
• Random gigantic lag wave. Game actually minutes behind. Does not see something happen until a minute or two later, has no idea what is currently happening in the game.
• Has tried deleting and reinstalling the game multiple times, now the game is taking incredibly long to download again. He knows enough about computery stuff to know to make sure everything is deleted before reinstalling.
• Has tried system updates on the computer

This is probably one of the weirdest series of problems I've seen..However the invisible champs thing he said was kinda cool, as all of Aurelions particle effects stayed so I was like this weird starry dragon ghost.

But yea its a problem just leaving it here
