Particularly pink wards and blue wards, but I assume it extends to normal wards as well.

It's not a bug. It was made this way.

That's weird, the clone should be able to clear wards just like any other control target (like Leblanc clone and Annie Tibbers). Riot should look into that, because that's not normal.
