Sound Lagging, Cutting Out, and Static-y?

So I used to play on an old Macbook laptop from 2010. Well...sadly that Macbook had a stroke (rest in pieces...2010 - 2016). I am now playing on a brand new Macbook Pro and everything seems to be working ok, except this new thing started happening (and if I thought it was the laptop I wouldn't be posting here so hear me out).

It first happened on an ARAM. My sound started getting static-y sounding. The music, sound effects, everything. I was not lagging in the actual game and I could move and cast stuff fine. When the static stopped, my sound was delayed and also was cutting out every other second. This went on for the rest of the game. I stopped playing and the next day it was fine.

The other day I was on a Summoner's Rift and it started happening again. Static and then the sound lagged and cut out every other second for the whole game. It was originally fine after the new patch downloaded and I thought it went away but apparently not. I doubt the laptop caused it, because right after the ARAM that had the sound problems I played a couple youtube videos and my sound was fine. It only happens in League.

Just leaving this here in case there's a fix or anyone else has had a similar problem. If it happens again I'm gonna try redownloading the client and if it still happens then I dunno..
