Is Cho'Gaths W suppose to go through FIzz's E?

Cause Currently it does, I was under the impression that fizz's E basically "takes hIm" off the map making him untargetable (LIke zhonya's except still affected by dots).

it goes off 100% of the time, just E as fizz then chogath while he's on his troll poll. It will silence AND deal damage.
