You can get more champion than the cap
Having a full champion storage before going to the champion carousel will force the newly acquired champion onto the field even if you are capped. This champion will participate fully too.

You no longer seem to gain exp while overfielding.
You also can’t move overfielded units though. Dont think it’d be worthwile unless you get a unit with a great synergy or a Yasuo. Worth checking at level 8 i suppose
