How to fight Ahri as Viktor? (tilt? need encouragement halp)

**You'll also hear me complaining about my previous game

She's like my ultimate viktor weakness.. I even use movement runes and masteries to compensate for Viktor's mobility but still

She can trade evenly (or even out trade me) by quickly doing Q and then getting out of range with her movement burst She can use her movement burst or ult to get out of my W If I try to Q her, it's suicide if I dont have minions nearby (cause she'll either charm if theres no minions or Q me and run away before i can get in range)

Ahri is hard to gank post 6 due to her ult (unless I bait her ult) I guess she's easy to gank pre 6 and most likely my fault for not calling in pre 6 ganks

My mage CSing is really bad now cause I have shyed away from mid lane for the past week (i mostly mid) due to homework and trying to relax by playing jungle with friends or ARAM if I have time to league

I went 0/10 as Viktor vs Ahri my last game (LOL..) cause my CS was really bad and overall I did really terrible. When she got the upper lead, I couldn't zone her out without me using flash or barrier; she just Q out of my W or ults out of it or Q out of my laser, etc. If i try to retreat, I know its hard to dodge the charm (and near impossible to dodge the ult-charm) and the only true way to dodge for me it is if I bait it out by pretending to turn corners or flashing

And then it didn't help my mid lane "tilt" that my bot lane was trash talking me through out the game cough It especially didnt help when the enemy team told us that the Ahri was level 23, which again made my bot lane trash talk me even more (i'm level 30)

I know that I'm in the higher-up of the level 30's match making where I shouldn't be queuing up with anyone who is non-level 30 so the Ahri must be some sort of smurf cause not only was she able to queue into a level 30 match, but her match history in general is pretty good for a low level (which makes me feel better that I didn't get beaten by a "true" level 23 i guess)

Any tips on fighting against Ahri as Viktor? Any tips on getting out of "tilt" and dealing with bad teammates? (I guess I should have muted them but my curiosity got the best of me; now I just feel kinda down in playing Summoner's Rift [I'm viktor main]). Any tips in CSing as a mage in general? I feel like I lost my CS touch.

The best I could do as report my bot lane but even then I'm still pretty annoyed and feeling down about the whole ordeal.

I don't wanna end up like those people who just lost their skill in SR and go on eternal tilt and all they do is play ARAM (which is what I've been doing except when I play with friends, which I go on SR)

At the same time, I don't wanna go to SR and start feeding or doing bad again..

I used to do really good with viktor but for the last week I cant hit easy-lasers, I'm always out of my ult range and still press R thus missing my ult's initial burst when chasing a target, I'm always placing W's wrong and doing failed flash-E-ult's

Oh and I have a really bad habit with aiming my laser (I use quick cast) I would attempt to aim it, realize that I'm not in range and then I would cancel it but when I move my mouse down to cancel it (thats what i do) half the time my viktor would just laser himself at that spot instead of canceling it so i waste like 1000000000 mana and look like a complete idiot LOL..

And don't get me started on Viktor vs Yasuo... derp.

Sorry that you guys have to read this. I guess this topic isn't just about Viktor vs Ahri so I'm sorry if I went off topic but I just needed for someone to hear me out on my situation

Any tips for mage csing, tilt annihilation, dealing with rude teammates, viktor vs ahri, viktor vs yasuo, or just viktor/mid lane tips in general will be much appreciated

If you're against an Ahri , your Laser should hurt a lot more then her Q so try and predict when she is going to throw her orb at you and aim your laser there. Takes a bit of practice, but predicting movement can really help. Also, I would recommend taking summoner 21 or summoner 6 against her instead of summoner 14 .

As for Yasuo , either position your W inside of your minion wave so he can't dash around through it, or on top of his wind wall so he can't use it to try and farm safely. Or if he has his Q tornado ready to try and knock you up, throw your W down beneath your feet if you don't think you can get out of the way. That way he'll be stunned coming out of his ult and you'll have a small opportunity to get away.

One very important thing about yasuo is that ANY amount of damage is enough to break his passive shield, walk up and auto attack him every now and then to break it, don't try and break it with your spells or you lose out on a lot of damage against him. summoner 3 really helps against him as well. Mid laners don't have to take exclusively ignite.

buy item 3196 first, upgrade E. Your E will now do more damage than her Q, viktor's burst damage is insane once you have this upgrade. Also, your farming goes throught the roof with this upgrade. If you aren't ahead in CS you're doing it wrong. If she's too slippery to catch with W, don't try to catch her with it. Use it as a zoning tool to keep her from charming you. item 1033 after your item 3196 into item 3001 If she roams......FOLLOW HER...she will rek your bottom lane unless you follow. Just make sure not to get caught by her in the river.

You said it yourself. It's not Ahri, it's just your play and that's easier to fix. You just need a bit of practice. : ) You can try doing a warm-up game when you first start that day, to help transition into playing League.

Also, don't report your bot lane because it was a bad game; that's just being shitty on your part.

Im a Viktor main myself, though I cant really give you much advice specific to Ahri or Yasuo.

Firstly though, NEVER quick cast your E, EVER. It makes it so much more awkward to use and results in missed or incorrectly aimed lasers which can lose you a fight. It might take some getting used to but you should stop using quick cast on your E immediately.

Second, if youre really losing lane (this goes for any lane, not just Viktor mid) your best bet is to just farm under your tower. Continuing to try to fight will only get you farther behind and put you/your team on tilt.

Viktor has an easier time dealing with this because of his kit though. In pretty much every game, you should be buying a item 1056 and item 3196 as your first items, while also maxing your E first. This will allow you to kill the caster minions with a single E once you reach level 7 or 8 (I don't actually remember which) and makes farming under tower a lot easier in conjunction with your Q for finishing the melee/cannon minions.

Specifically talking about Ahri, in the event youre equally skilled or worse than they are, your best bet is to just avoid confrontation at all costs and just farm. Try to keep a ward on the bottom side of the river and watch if she roams, pinging she is MIA and warnings to your bot lane. I wouldn't suggest following her though, instead just hard push the lane and get some damage on the tower.

Against Yasuo on the other hand, you should have an advantage early since he is melee. Pop his passive shield with an AA and wait for it to fade before using any spells to try to harass him, and if he ever tries to engage on you drop your W right at your feet. This will force him to either back off or risk getting stunned and taking more damage, just be wary because your W has a pretty long cooldown and he will have an advantage in a fight if you don't have it.

My advisce, just stayn under tower, dodge skillshots and play safe. Mainly practice dodging ahri skillshots then u can insta win the lane.

Pre-6 you are going to have a bad time. More than anything - the rune page you use will determine just how bad of a time that turns out to be.

Sometimes starting with a flask and 3 pots is a better alternative than a dorans if the Ahri happens to be super aggressive.
