Where and how to play Jayce..?

So like, I bought jayce a few days ago and all I did with him was play a custom game with him and played two blind pick jayce jungle (no worries, I got permission from my teammates to try him out)

So obviously, jayce jungle does not work well (but the ideal gank is to be in gun form and run through your accelerator + shifting to hammer for more move speed and then Q E the enemy towards your laner or whatever)

Soo.. can jayce mid well? And is he good as an adc? I really don't feel like playing him top lane lol

And what is my main damage dealer for jayce? I completely suck at doing his gun mode's E Q and hope there's another way to deal damage than to rely on that lol

Is muramana 100% nessecary? Will I be missing out not starting tear & going for other items first like cleaver?

I play alot of Jayce, and it's the champion i am best on. However, he is weak atm, so prepare for a lot of learning!

I play him almost only Midlane. I would recommend going Tear -> Ghostblade -> Manamune + CDR boots. After that, situational: BC, BT, Deaths Dance, Scimitar, Maw of Malmortius (really good item), Lord Dominiks and so on.

Now that you have your build, beware that you HAVE to be ahead, and a good chunk, else u are completely and utterly useless the whole game. Jayce MUST be fed and win before the opponents gets 5 completed items (and himself being full build). To do that u need to practice some combos:

EQ combo. You know ur Q must be shot through the gate, but practice this: Shoot your Q, and then QUICKLY move cursor on top of Jayce, then press E. Its a very hard combo to pull off, but ur Q will have full speed the whole duration, making it impossible to dodge. Watch some Youtube guides on Jayce to get the idea. In game, hide in the bushes and shoot the EQ at ranged minions, hitting your enemy. To place the gate on top of yourself, is something i have seen even LCS midlaners not be able to do, so make sure to practice it :)

Else, AA then use W as it an AA reset = 4 quick AAs!. Also, when u go in melee, make sure to press W, then switch to melee to get the 3 attacks. There is a lot of other combos out there u can learn.

For runes, AD + Arpen + defensive, masteries is 12/18 taking Thunderlords.

Again, Jayce is weak now. However the Duskblade item might push him viable, and get a lot other AD assassins nerfed, so Jayce can have time in the spotlight. Best of luck on the Rift :)
