Skarner top?

Not since waaaaaaaaaay back when, before any reworks. Used to run a AP heavy based build. That said, I don't think there's any reasonable way to handle the mana requirements for the early lane, and even then I doubt it would work out all too well.

I find him to be quite mana deficient without the early blue buff. But I play a very aggressive AP/Tank Skarner, even now. I jungle very well with him, but I haven't tried him top since the map update.

seemed to do great with me top, did a 13 game marathon with him in pubs during his last free week with a team. We ended up 12-1. I used a full tank build with botrk as my only Off item and that was only for the 8% passive, life steal and attack speed.

Since he doesn´t have any sustain anymore and runs out of mana terrible fast + even gets outpushed by Ez - there´s absolutely no reason to ever play him as a sololaner. His jungle however is pretty strong currently.
