How do you deal with Tryndamere with ultimate, 1v1?

Hi, New player, not the best, but trying to get better. I've been running into a decent amounts of Tryndamere's lately (I'd say 1 in every 3 games right now. Probably because he's cheap IP wise, and powerful.) and am having some difficulties with him. Laning vs him, no problem. Dealing with him without his ultimate, no problem. Fighting him when he has his ultimate, problem. Can't seem to run because of his slow and spin, can't fight because of attack speed and critical damage while being immune to dying, and I don't have a huge selection of champions/able to counter pick because of low level. I get the basics of fighting him: Poke him a lot, try to make him lose farm, hit him with CC (I actually like playing against him when I'm using my support characters with roots), Thornmail is supposed to be really good against him, but I'm just not sure what to do 1v1 when he has his ultimate and wants to dive on me. Even trying to count out how much his ultimate has left to time ignite doesn't work because he self-heals past it's kill range with the rage he makes killing me. This also becomes a huge problem because of how easily he seems to move around the map and take down towers. I can't seem to shadow him effectively to prevent towers from falling, I can't ignore him because he'll chew through two towers in the time it takes us to get one, and I can't duel him because 'Lol, Immortal. Spin and Run.' There has to be a way, but I don't know it, so tell me please. TY for replies.

This thread taught me exactly how to fight Tryndamere. I suggest you check it out. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/KNjLs7tg-just-kite-his-ult

if you can play nasus, all you need to do is build tank and play super passive in the start while getting stacks. you will outscale him. malphite is also good if you stack armor vs him. vs tryn, start doran's shield and get tabi. randuins, frozen heart and thornmail might be a bit over kill on the armor vs him, but if you get that much, he will have a very hard time killing you.

kite and retreat if you can to drag out his ult.

Drop some cc or a flash. ignite him atleast two and half a half seconds after his ult has ticked. guaranteed kill.

1: I advise using a champ like Teemo, Jax, or anyone with a block. (I prefer jax because he's also gonna stun tryndy)

2: If he rushes Life steal, run armor, if he rushes Crit (Usually doubled with attack speed) Just stay under turret and try to get him to dive. when he does, circle around the turret.

3: Since Tryndamere is usually a top if he is not rumbling in the jungle, i advise using tank champions. Garen, Leona, Nasus, and even Irelia are GREAT tanks (if your asking why irelia, Her passive)

Thanks for the replies.

1 - HOW do you kite him/the ultimate? With his spin and his slow, I just can't outrun him. Sure, if I'm on a support with a root I can deal with it, but on my top laners I don't have that option.

2 - Armor and Ignite just doesn't seem to work for me. I've even tried to keep a mental count of how long the ult has been up to get the maximum ignite ticks after I'm dead. Once I'm dead, he just heals beyond Ignites range. Sure, early on I could probably live long enough to get an ignite kill, but later on, he attacks so quickly and has so many crit multipliers I drop dead damn near instantly - even with 2 armor items and tabis. If I'm playing a tank I'm sure I'd be less worried about him, but I also think he wouldn't be going after me and instead be going after the people he can kill in 2 seconds.

3- I'm not sure if I'd like Nasus. He seems like a really boring farm champion to me. Jax could be someone I'll buy though as he seems like that nice mix of damage and tank, but I'd rather figure out how to just deal with his mechanics without just going 'Well, it's counterpick or nothing'. That may be naive though.

Some of this may be due to how you are getting engaged. If you're playing carefully, Tryndamere should need to use E (or maybe W) to get a solid engage. Then he only has the other (probably W) to chase while you kite. Which is rough, but doable if you have any mobility or cc, and you should have one or the other if not both. What it sounds like right now is that he's engaging by walking up to you, and then has both E and W up to chase- but he shouldn't have that option. He's likely also waiting for when your disengage abilities are down (again, depending on who you play). As for the 'late' if he's gotten fed, then he'll have enough damage that there's nothing you alone can do regardless, but that is always the case.

No answer can be complete without knowing which champion you are using...

is Darius a good choice against Tryndamere? if you take ignite and time it properly, ignite and your bleed will do way more than his heal late-game (over 400 damage/second at full stacks) it was a pain to fight both tryndamere and yasuo 1v2 (before his most recent nerf) lategame even if you're equally fed (all 3 of us were 20/10-12/x) and yasuo had GA
