Biggest tip: move like a noob. Click ONCE where you want to go, NO randomly dodging left to right to make yourself a harder target. All it does it make you an easier target. Why?

Because of the way axes are programmed. It will throw the axe in the general area of where Draven is MOVING TOWARDS WHEN IT IS RELEASED. So, if I'm stationary, and I throw I have to move a lot less than if I'm juking left randomly and I throw and now I have to walk out of my minion wave and OHSHIT MORG BINDING. So, stationary, click once to attack, click once to move to your axe.

Build: IE into PD into BT/LW (whichever you need first build first) into maybe mercurial scimi/GA/Whatever. Draven likes a lot of AD.

You won't like Caitlyn. You'll think she's too slow and clunky. Play every other adc first and expand your knowledge in mechanics, then enjoy her entirely.

  1. Safe and easy. If you play Caitlyn you cannot be scared (like if you're farming as Ashe). Abuse her stuff in lane and be confident. Caitlyn cannot sit around and do nothing. Her great range makes her easy to play for Tristana/Ezreal players and also they have a similar escape. Like Ezreal typically does not need teammates.

  2. Bursty and Tanky. Low range, low dash. It takes a man to play a man. Man mode. Graves cannot sit around and do nothing. Can get by with one support helping out.

  3. Mentally difficult. You need to know who is charging at you (enemy has Rengar). You need to know what can be condemned (A J4 wall/ Irelia who has used her gap closer). You can sit around and auto if you're in a good spot. Awareness of a teamfight is key. Needs proper team support (Cleanse/Peel).

  4. Mechanically difficult. I find a lot of Draven players are unable to play Caitlyn or Ezreal effectively because they are quite different. Again you cannot sit around and do nothing and you must abuse your stuff in lane. Needs proper team support (Cleanse/Peel).

I am a support main who also plays a very good Caitlyn. These are things I tend to notice when supporting (like when I have Vayne I almost 100% will have a cleanse in hand while I may never buy one with Caitlyn or Ezreal). I think a Vayne who doesn't watch the teamfight is doomed because she has low range and is easily taken down. I think a passive Draven is doomed because in a 1v1 same build situation, almost every adc can disengage and take Draven on.
