Diversifying my champion pool

So recently I joined ranked. I'm a support and mid main. But I don't fair so well in other roles. A big reason is because I don't have many champions for the roles. For support I use Sona, Lulu, Nami, Braum, Morgana and a couple more. Pretty good. For mid I have Twisted Fate Cassiopeia and Veigar For jungle I have amumu and fiddlesticks. yeah. Thats it. Top- Teemo, lulu. I really don't have any tanks. Adc- Twitch Please give me some champions to think about getting. Keep in mind I suck at adc and jungling so.

These champions are cheap and stable picks:

Top: Garen Mid: Annie

Not cheap, but a stable pick: Support: Thresh

The easiest way to get through ranked would be to master one of these champions: Katarina Fiora Riven Vi As each of them has the potential to single-handedly dominate teamfights.

You might have better luck with ADC if you played a stronger one. Twitch is quite difficult in lane. And quite easy to kill later. Pretty weak in fights without ult.

Sivir ADC has great utility, good dmg, if a bit short ranged. Give her a try for 450 ip. Graves is the choice for the easiest ADC in general for burst damage and durability.

i wouldn't even play ranked until you could play all roles at a decent level it helps you as a player even if you aren't playing those roles often. for example if you become a good jungler even though you don't play it you can predict where the enemy jungler will gank. (which is really easy I can call out where a jungler is going to be like 80% of the time without them being on a ward) but deciding to play ranked is on you so here are the champions i would get.

Jinx Lucian Vi Shyvana Renekton RekSai

These are not overly complicated to play in my opinion there are more mechanically difficult champs to play that are better for some of these but they are also harder to play. Some of them like Kalista Vayne Rumble etc.

Make sure that you have 2 to 5 champions per lane/area, where 2 would be a lane/area you rarely play and 5 be the one you main /rather go/like to go (ask yourself, what happens if Twitch get picked or banned?). Try to keep under 18 champions at all time. So you play less = less champions, you play there more often = more champions. It's really up to you to decide which champion you'd wanna pick. Lets say you're not crazy about ADC, then maybe you should pick "safe champions" to assure your victory and reduce your chances of messing up. On the flip side, if you're crazy about support, then you should be able to cover every aspect and champion type of the lane/area.

Here is what I would recommend you pick since you're a support and mid main:

**TOP: **

  • ** Pick one AD bruiser**. Make sure he's a "jack of all trades". He needs to be more of a knowledge based champion (point and click, easy to play, not many skillshots, harder to mess up), then a skill based champion.

  • Pick one AP top. In the event you have an AD mid and you,re forced to go top. Again more knowledge based champ.

MID: You need to cover all aspects of this lane since you main it.

  • You must have an assassin
  • You must have a mage
  • You must have an AD champion.
  • You must have an early game champion
  • You must have a late game champion
  • You must have a "safe pick"

Keep in mind one champion can have 3+ of these things. Remember try to have over 2 for this lane. Max of 5.

**ADC: **

  • Safe laner and easy to play ADC.
  • There are 3 types of ADCs : regular ADCs, hypercarries and caster type ADCs. Try to have 2 types among your 2 champions.
  • For example, Twitch is a hypercarry while Caitlyn , which is a safe laner, would be your early game harassing regular adc.
  • Pick 2.

Support: You main this role, put a greater importance in it.

  • You must have a tank support
  • You must have pure support (more for supportiveness than tankiness or damage oriented. Janna is a great example).
  • You must have an aggressive support (damage oriented).
  • Try to make champion combos with your supports. Like "if my adc goes Graves I will most likely pick X".
  • Max of 5.

Jungle:

  • AD bruiser champion that can initiate fights (like JarvanIV Hecarim , etc)
  • AP tanky champion that can initiate fights. (Sejuani Maokai etc)
  • You don't necessarily need an initiate, but it greatly helps as a jungler. Make sure you at least have one champion with an initiate.
  • If possible try to have one early game and one late game.

The general idea is to have a small pool of champs to improve your skills faster. I hope I helped.
