So you are playing an immobile mage that struggles vs mobile assassins and you are wondering why you got dumpstered. Lets just call a champ op though and not worry about your poor pick choice or that just got counter picked.
I have been saying Ekko was OP since before he hit the live server. EVERYONE will want him nerfed once people get really good with him. His weaknesses are trivial at best once you get him down.
You left out a bit of information. How much hp were you at? Did Ekko land his ult or stun?
I think he's a little overpowered, but just in damage. His CC takes a lot of finagling to work right, so there are a lot of windows of opportunity to avoid it. It seems tough now because he's new and everyone has to learn how to play around him. He deals awfully high damage, but I think they'll dial that back a bit in the future.
Whose tower? How much life did you have? What exactly did he do? Without details, you might as well say "I didn't believe Urgot was OP until I was playing Quinn and I did my R Q E combo when he was at 3/4 hp under tower and he killed me and got away"*
- = Well, I only had about 1/4 of my health and he was massively fed and we were right on the edge of tower range so he only took one shot but still.
