Low elos note: A Lesson in Adapting

League of Legends Match History

Started off going assassin nocturne. Cho failed to peel for Tristana, and Swain and Annie failed to both peel and get as tanky as they wanted. So, I sold all but my item 3718 and item 3153 and went straight tank. Needless to say, I was able to have the cc and damage of Udyr, Draven, Nautilus, and Mundo all burned on me while my team mopped them up. The enemy team also failed to notice I went tanky. Even though one would think that if I orginally dropped in 3 seconds and now I'm lasting up to 10-15 seconds that maybe I did something different. But the point of this.....

TL;DR Always be ready to adjust builds at a moments notice. It could mean the difference between getting fed and still losing, or getting fed and peeling for others to win.

Thanks for the tip :) Very good to keep in mind for sure. Think outside the (cookie-cutter-build) box.

Well to be honest nocturne works better as an offtank fighter ( Irelia Vi ) than he does as a glass assassin.

Also, nocturne can splitpush with reasonable efficiency. If your team is failing to do anything worthwhile, its usually better to just solopush a side lane, as opposed to hope that they will do anything in teamfights. Don't rely on your team if they have already showed you they are incabable of functioning.

Selling items isn't what you want to do to adapt a build. It is a huge gold loss. What you want to do is preemptively adapt.

Pretty interesting. Looks like you were stomping because you got a 25 minute IE on jungle nocturne. I wouldn't have even started going IE though. I would've gone BoRK, devourer, full tank if I saw my laners were not doing well anyhow.

You need to ward more.
