Pink Wards 101

First thing you want to know about the reworked pink wards, they last until someone successfully hits it 5 times. So a well-placed pink ward can last the whole game. If you stick them in your jungle and you manage to successfully let your team place 5 of them all in your jungle, then you’ve already reduced the number of counter jungling and potential tower dives your enemy can do.

In the attached picture, I put Pink Circles for the blue side of suggested ward placements for pinks. If you follow it, then the blue buff is directly warded and doubles as a warning for behind the tower dives, the red buff has no possible entrance where you can really go to without being spotted unless enemy placed a deep ward and TP’d to it. The top side river is also fairly warded and would probably last a long time until baron vision becomes a factor that same river ward also protects mid and top lane a fair amount. This also provides easy jungle collapses since you have vision control of your own jungle. Almost the same principle for the purple side denoted by the orange wards only there are more wards top lane because there aren’t really any good places to put them so supports should ward somewhere in the river but you still have that really strong pink ward near mid lane that tells you a lot of information and is easily protected by the mid lane and jungler. Next are the Yellow Wards those are neutral places to put pink wards but advisably just used with normal wards with the downside of not having true sight (You can still use Sweepers). These pinks should be placed only when your team is grouped and want to take objectives say a turret or dragon or baron. Lastly, the purple wards are sneaky little wards that no one really checks and still give you a substantial amount of information. Use this when the enemy jungler isn’t really a good counter jungler. Ohh and one really important part, PINK WARDS 100% REVEAL AN ENEMY CHAMPION BEFORE IT DIES, so, it’s never a waste.

Sorry bro, can't buy pink cause I need to save for my 4th Infinity Edge. How am I suppose to farm 6 Infinity Edge if I buy pink ward? Pink ward do no damage. Last time I tried using it, all it did was AFK and did not attack. Really? I reported AFK ward, I see them every game, Rito needs to fix server or I no moar by RP.

I stuck in Bronze cause I have to carry all these AFK pink ward. Why buy, 6 Infinity Edge the best. Also found bug, cannot put Infinity Edge in 7th slot, only trinket. It makes AFK ward too, or red circle that DCs after a few seconds.

Also, Pink ward for girls, Infinity Edge for man.

My personal favorite pink ward location is deep in the enemy jungle, at the edge of the brush behind red. It shows: Red buff and the path behind red buff that the enemy takes to get behind the inner tower. It also is just a big crossroads in the jungle. It also lacks any normal auto-pathings that walk through it (Similar to the tiny brushes in river) so one one will ever accidently stumble on it while walking around. And no one ever checks it because it is deep in their own jungle. Really, any ward that lets you keep track of rotation and jungler movements is worth every penny, especially when it stays up for 20 minutes.

Some other things I does: A lot of mids put a semi-aggressive ward in that River/Wraiths/touching red brush, and good junglers know this. So they often sneak around behind that area for ganks, and this deep pink placement catches that alternate path. It also covers the standard rotation to inner turret path, so you can see rotations coming.

Pink wards.

Put 'em in bushes near high traffic areas and intersections.

The end.
