Convince me, why not? It's double the damage for that one auto that can happen at any point in time :D I'd rather have a crit happen to me than deal or reduce a point or two of damage. Because even if you say that in the long run that extra point in Armor or AP would deal/reduce more damage, we play League as we estimate what we can and cannot do. That really small boost at the cost of a mark would be rather inferior to a lucky crit at a clutch moment because you wouldn't account that 1 extra point while estimating what could happen in a real scenario. Again, convince me why i shouldn't.

1% crit (1/100) to 2% crit (1/50) is a pretty significant jump in probability, you should consider running two on champs that auto attack a lot.

I came to say I wasn't sure why this is a good idea. After typing the sentence

A 0.95 AD mark has a 100% probability to deal 95 extra damage every 100 strikes, while a 1% crit chance mark has a 1% probability to deal 200% AD every 100 strikes.

I realized why it was. I might try this whenever I start building an AA Jungler runepage.

I used to do this in S1-S2, I just used crit reds with everyone. Pretty funny when shen/vlad/etc gets that random crit and kills you. I highly support this.

hey, won't lie, used it on sona once and got a lucky crit hit on soraka for the kill hit... made soraka rage so hard about my "cheesy" 1% crit.

Some guy did a bunch of tests (tens of thousands of hits) with 1% and 2% and found that 2% had much more than twice the crit chance for whatever reason. So I have 2% on every single rune page.
