I have a lot of trouble with fizz and a bit of zed. I understand he has a bad laning phase but when I poke him down I'm never able to secure the kill. I always feel like he does so much damage too. I don't push without wards and if im super behind I stay at tower, but he still manages to get me. I play a lot of squishy immobile mages which doesn't help . Is there a play style or tip or champion you guys reccomend to help against fizz?
one does not simply win against fizz
You don't win against fizz, At all. Ever. Until they nerf him, witch they wont.
Asking how to win against Fizz is like asking why don't people realize Edison ruined the future.
You can win a couple of ways the easiest is picking direct counters. Champions like 
and 
are all very good vs him because they punish very hard if he takes a bad trade. The best strategy is to wait for him to try to initiate then punish him with cc or damage over time. Other ways to play it is to use poke and zone but you really have to be able to stay at a far range in order for it to work.
In general wave manipulation is very important in this match up. Because he is melee you want to try to freeze the lane either in front of your turret or in the middle. If the lane does start pushing make it push fast so you don't over extend then go and farm raptors or back to get items. His team fight is pretty bad since he is still super squishy especially if he doesn't rush hourglass immediately. Just remember to cc him either before play trixter to burst him down or as soon as he lands from it.
