Support Wukong? (Not Trolling, promise!)

Hey there, Master Fledgling here.

So ... Can Wukong Support? The entire premise for the idea is his passive, for me. At level one, when combined with a mostly defensive mastery tree, he gets 8 armor from his passive, 8 armor and 4 magic resistance from four points in legendary Guardian and 5 points from hardiness. At level 7, This increases by another four. That is more than 20 points of armor for free VERY early, which means that he could saunter up to an ADC and whack them a few times without too much worry. This doesn't even take into account any additional armor you might get from your build or runes.

Going from there, he has a pretty good initiation move from E, armor reduction off his Q (Though it is not that noticeable due to little armor on ADC's), and a great but predictable escape with W. Finally, his ult brings a lot of damage and CC to the table.

So what do you think? Would an aggressive/defensive Wukong Support be viable?

Thanks and squash that meta,

-MF

i wouldn't recommend it being 100% melee tends to get him harassed to death in a lane that's usually against 2 ranged champs. that and wukong needs gold pretty bad to be super effective. ALSO his armor shred needs some levels in his Q.

im a wukong main so i'm not saying it CAN'T be done, but if you want a super aggressive bruiser support with a good amount of utility. honestly jarvan is your guy. pantheon too with the aggro kill lanes

but go prove me wrong and stomp some bot laners with the monkey. just dont do it in ranked yet.

It does work, I've laned with one before. It went better than I expected. If he starts with Relic Shield and some tanky masteries then he won't get poked down in lane. The one I laned with just kept jumping in, Q, and then cloaking away to hide in the brush. There was nothing they could do, and he chunked them pretty hard.

The ultimate was also great initiation/cc, especially with a jungler gank. Makes for a decent kill lane; needs an aggressive/strong early ADC to pair with him.

He also transitions really well for teamfights later just because of his ultimate. The cc never falls off.

No safe poke, no allied sustain, no CC, no peel. Nope Dont even count his ult as CC/peel in lane. If you have to wait until 6 to get some help from your support might as well tell him to afk so you can get solo lane exp

if you do this, id recommend going AP wukong... how before yall freak out about his ratios, just realize that with lichbane he actually hits his Q like a truck.

His W's clone also can deal serious damage for enemys not expecting it, you just need to learn how to "STOP JUKE" which means hit your S key to fake like you hit your W, then react accordingly whether that's actually hitting your W and moving, or diving an enemy, or simply just standing there

I supported Bot lane as Darius, but the only problem that brings is the enemy jungler camping out bot since you pose more of a threat down there than anywhere else. I do like doing unique support roles, but you'll get more attention from the enemy team.
