why does everyone say to take thresh's e off smart cast?

i dont play him that often but when i do i seem to use his e better than most people i see, i dont find it hard to just put your cursor the direction you want them to move towards isnt that the only reason to do it?

literally no one says that only 1 ability in the game is worth taking off smart cast and that is rumble ult

I main Thresh. I smart cast it. It's pretty easy to figure out what direction you will flay, how far it's reach is and how wide the reach is. Just practice it and you'll catch on quick.
