League is a game in which the tiniest of advantages can have a major impact on the course of a match. ScrapComputer’s video “Backing to Lane Efficiently,” goes over a tactic to get you out of the fountain and back into the fray quickly and efficiently. This trick could net you minions that you might otherwise have missed, or even get you to the brewing fight at Dragon just in time to save a life -- or take one. .

Do you know any small tricks that can make a huge difference in a game? Let us know in the comments below, and please recommend your favorite community guides or videos!

Was thinking of making a post, but I'll just leave this here instead;

New Shop Feature

  • You can now queue to buy items without being at the fountain
  • Items purchased this way will go into a 6 slot cart
  • Cart mirrors your inventory so you can't buy more than you have space for
  • Once you return to the store, pre-purchased items enter your bags
  • You may refund those items before you return, or before you leave as normal

What do you think? Saves time, and it'll be easier to figure out how much you can afford so you don't leave lane just needing 1 more minion.

THIS IS MY #1 PROBLEM! IM ALWAYS YELLED AT FOR HOW LONG I TAKE TO SHOP!

So I don't think I sit there too long shopping.. sometimes... yes.. I like to think about what Im doing next..

This trick would take a lot of time to get used to.... but I think I will try to put it into practice..

I thought this was about reading situations in which to recall, not for more efficient shopping

You don't even need to get full HP at the fountain. Just get pretty close to full, and you're natural health regen will fill you up the rest of the way during your walk back to lane. The higher your health regen, the sooner you can leave the fountain. (same principle applies with mana).

Or....OR...And I'm just spit-balling here but...press "P" as you recall, so you can scan the shop and already know what you want/need to buy for your build. That way once you land, click click GO!

Yeah, I like my way better.{{summoner:2}}

Don't shop while recalling Always have an ability ready to cast if someone goes into vision Don't recall in the open with low HP

I was expecting tips on identifying when to back, not what to do in the pace between landing and moving out again, But yes, I do something like this.

How in demacia's name did this get on the league front page. I thought this was common sense? I dont know, i just feel like its a waste of a thread :/

6ok9/7/2015, 6:18:29 PM3 votes

what you actually should do is just get to base then walk straight back to your lane, don't even stop to shop, and then shop in the amount of time it takes you to leave the fountain range

thats what i do and i get back to lane pretty quickly

also

leave lane right after you've cleared a super minion lane you dont want to miss those babies

One of the first things I got myself into the habit of doing was to keep moving. When I started playing LoL I never even thought about moving around to keep my opponent guessing/missing with their skill shots. And then I started spectating matches to see where else I could improve and learned a ton more tips and tricks and good habits, like warding. . . . took me a while to get into the habit of warding regularly XD

Its very inefficient to click on the shop. Don't even waste mouse movement, just hit 'P'.

lol you fast forwarded the correct before the incorrect, but very helpful trick, thank you!

I mean how do you know its an effective recall or not is there really a way to test it? I assumed it was just practice over time then you understand the flow and the habits of the game including travel routes and such. but how can you go and practice this skill and ensure that you are doing it appropriately and effectively?

Uhh this is like, basic gameplay mechanics. What's next- a tutorial on "right click to hit towers"?

In your summoner profile view/edit there is a tab for Item sets. You can create unlimited amount of sets specific for champions and/or roles.

When you are in Item sets there are three window panes. On the right hand window pane there are two tabs where you can set that specific item set for specific champions. Selecting multple champions will set up for roles such as support or ADC.

I usually set my Items up for starting items at top, then core items then I make sets for armor or AP items, AD items etc. Whatever I think that champion might need in games.

This really saves me a lot of time so I don't go looking or trying to remember what items are good for that champ. remember to pick items that the champ might not use but are helpful in certain situations too
