Opinions between two builds/playstyles

Hello people I am here today to get everyone's opinion on how I should play Sona. I originally played her as a utility support however over time have preferred her as a straight up APC bot lane.

The 2 builds I use are

Utility/Support:

1. Boots of Mobility
2. Talisman of Ascension
3. Ruby Sightstone
4. Twin Shadows
5. Rod of Ages
6. Morellonomicon

This build gives AP, Health, Mana, 40%cdr, speed buff, and vision wards

APC:

1. Sorc Shoes
2. Ludens Echo
3. Lich Bane
4. Rylais Sceptor
5. Liandras Torment
6. Rabadons

This build gives a ton of AP, On hit effects that stack and over power her passive, mov speed, slows

Alot of people criticize me for not building sightstone when playing her APC but if I am playing APC I really need the slot for an APC item, so should I continue playing her as an APC and help carry my team with a bunch of kills and assists or go back to playing utility for the wards and have my damage nerfed to hell? ALso keep in my when I play APC my heals and team utility are way better.
