Just curious why ive seen some people taking smite top lane recently (or support, as ive seen that as well). Is there something im missing here or are these people just being silly? The games ive played in which someone has taken smite anywhere besides jungle, those players never did anything spectacular with it.
So whats the deal with people taking smite outside of the jungle?
I think it was because Cinderhulk was much, much more effective than SFC before they nerfed Cinderhulk.
Smite top lane has become completely viable. Because getting a 
or 
gives certain advantages when smiting against the enemy laner. Champions who have a hard time chasing use stalker and those who are auto-ers use Skirmisher to one up their damage while mitigating their own. It also provides a second smite for objectives.
With that being said they risk losing power spikes and fall behind late game.
I see so its basically just a FOTM kinda deal that's only really a good option on certain champions or certain matchups? I still feel flash/teleport is the best way to go.
