When you say "don't feed"...

... I see please win. Advice should not be don't lose, that's inane and unhelpful . If you want someone to play safe then say play under you turret and then tell your jg to gank that lane cause their opponents are gonna overextend. Please give some thought to advice you give your teammates. As a general rule of thumb if someones asking how then your advising wrong. Edit: Maybe we can compile helpful things here that people can say instead of "don't feed" First pass Farm for late game If your champ outscales the opponent into late game play safe You can cite what is going on i.e."mid is getting camped"

I feel like you should never tell someone exactly what to do like "Riven play passive". For example, if mid is dying to ganks without wards, I might say "mid is getting camped". Or if bot is getting destroyed "Lucian is gonna be strong we should shut him down". I try and direct my comments to the team as a whole.

Honestly, pointing out dumb sh** your team mates do never helps anything. You don't need to remind them how they got outplayed and failed their flash. Once your team starts typing and typing, your chance of winning goes down the drain.

Don't lose is actually often really good advice. I see so many people try to play to win when their champ/team outscales the enemy and just end up dying because they're playing overly aggressive. In these scenarios they should be going into lane with more of a mentality of "don't lose' rather than win.

Also if my team-mate is doing stupid shit as a late game champ early and I'm going to give them any advice it's going to be to play under tower and try not to make their situation any worse, not to take the 1 in 20 chance that they can mechanically outplay the other guy and bring them-self back into the lane.

If I'm playing Veigar against Annie, if I go into lane thinking anything other than "Don't lose," I'm going to get my butt handed to me. You don't win that lane unless your opponent is a moron. I'll out scale her late game, but in lane, all I can hope to do is survive.

Sometimes winning lane is flat out impossible unless the opponent is a moron. Not to say it doesn't happen - I've seen Wukongs and Renektons with ignite on my team get bullied by TP Nasus and Karthus solo 1v1. However, the chances are so low, you might as well just tell them to farm for late game.

Try make a positive teamplan early on to get the comunication going

example jg fidle mid vlad and Sona sup

talk to your team like someone has to build morrello for heal reduction

tbh it all depends on your elo. if you in a high elo players will give some thought into what your saying and try it out, lower elos on the other hand.....lets just say it doesnt matter what you say.

And then there are those who threatens others to "don't feed" and decides to do it himself anyway, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

Cringe.

EDIT: But really, "don't feed" is not that bad of an advise, depending on your team comp. If you're early centric, then you say "let's win", if you're late game oriented, tell everyone "don't lose". IMO.
