killing small monsters first

when jungling, I know you should (of course depends on champion, if you're full AoE damage than whatever) kill the small wraiths (birds?) before the big one because they're faster to kill while outputing the same damage. Should I also kill the small wolves before the big wolf, small golem before big golem, and the couple of small monsters before red / blue buff?

thanks in advance!

I don't really bother with that unless I'm playing a champion that has difficulty in the jungle. But yes, you should kill the smaller ones first. Not the blue or red buff ones since they seem to output almost no damage.

You said it yourself, if you have enough AoE, they will die anyway so it's ususally better to just to focus the big guy and kill the entire camp as fast as possible.

If you have to kill them one by one it reduces the damage when killing the small Wolves, Krug or Raptors first.

With the Buffs it's different though, if you can't kite them they do too much damage to ignore them, while the small ones are neglible.

thanks guys. I used to kill the small ones first last season (except for buff minions), but I wasn't sure if that's still optimal in the season 5 jungle

Single target clearing champs should almost always clear the small creeps first (especially Krugs and Raptors) however, if you have AoE clear (most junglers do) you have to gauge how much extra damage you'll take while they are still up or if you just let them die to your AoE instead.
