Reminder about Nasus' lack of sand on his ultimate

(I'm not sure if this is the correct board for it but what the heck.)

So, when rito gave nasus his visual rework, a lot of people (me included) complained about the lack of a sandstorm during his iconic ultimate. I remember seeing two arguments by phreak, both being quite wrong to be honest, though to be fair he really shouldn't be the one commenting on it since he's not related to champion updates at all. Here's a link in case you want to check out personally one of many threads about it, in which phreak answered: http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=3999348&page=1

Anyways, here's his quote:

Someone will likely have to answer this question better than I will but one thing to point out is that Nasus was never actually sand-based in any direct way. He sucks your power directly from you. **None of his powers are actually sand-based. **Once I had that explained to me, I was like "Oh... Yeah you're right!"

And here's me quoting Nasus's ultimate exactly as it is:

Fury of the Sands Nasus unleashes a mighty sandstorm that batters nearby enemies. While the storm rages, he gains increased health (...)

(I cut the description short because the rest is irrelevant)

So, there's that.

His second argument, which was about clarity:

AFAIK this was at least partially a clarity thing. It's actually pretty important to know if you're inside of the AoE of his ultimate or not. A hard-line "here's the edge of my ulti" circle under his feet is much better for that than "there's some sand around me... it might be touching you."

to which I say: COWCRAP. Here's a response from hashinshin (our lord and savior, king of the bruisers), which I found quite fitting:

Will Sunfire be getting a similar red radius? And will Renekton's ult be getting the same? And will Vayne have a red radius around 1,000 spaces of her to show where you will die? and can teemo shrooms get a red radius to show explosion range? And can heimer's turrets get a red radius to show range? I'd also like to see some red lines on singeds' poison, gragas's barrel, Nami's ultimate, Janna's tornado.

I even pointed out in that thread that two champions off the top of my head already had a similar thing to their ultimates, Lissandra and Zyra; they have the particles AND a clear and defined circle to show the real AoE. They could certainly do that to Nasus's ulti too.

And just to further my case, there's this new fiddlesticks' skin on the works, called Risen Fiddlesticks. Sand themed. His ult is, guess what, a sandstorm around him, with a defined circle around to show you the exact AoE. Here's a link for it, should already skip to him casting the ult, in case it doesn't, it's around the 1 minute 10 seconds mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVAt404cf-0#t=1m10s

So, riot, do the right thing and fix his ultimate, K? And please don't forget his skins :)

This would be the least they could do.

I'd also appreciate if they changed his dance back... but I understand that takes times and likely won't happen. His dance is just weird and cartoony now.

Honestly, I'd rather just have the ability renamed at this point. It's gotten to the point where I feel like Nasus doesn't even need the sand; he's basically a god of death.

I'll turn to Azir for sandy times.
