2 Similar champs. Aatrox or Zac?

So, who would you all say is stronger currently? Both champs seem very fun, and are similar with a ranged poke/slow, revive passive, jump and smash down with a knockup, and can be built tanky or damage. The one thing i like about zac more is his ult compared to aatrox’s. But the one thing i like about aatrox is that he is AD while zac is AP. So, can you guys give me some advice/tips about these two champs? Unfortunately they cost 6300 and that is just too much to buy both! Thanks for any responses! PS. sorry, forgot to add this is for top lane (and for occasional non-meta support) NOT jungle.

They're both only semi-viable nowadays, but Zac is in a much better spot and is imo more fun to play as

I think for top lane you might find Aatrox better as he has better dueling potential than Zac. Zac can only really duel someone if he far out tanks him, and his sustain passive isn't super useful in lane as his chunks almost always fly towards the enemy and out of reach. However as a support I think Zac is much better as he has stronger peel, great roaming potential, and a strong teamfighting ult. He's a more effective utility tank than Aatrox by far.
