Alright, im getting into the adc role and find it fun and rewarding, however i am very tired of seeing either caitlin, corki, lucian, or graves every. single. game. lol so i have it narrowed down to twitch or kog'maw. both have interesting kits and and hyper carrys. who do yo uguys prefer to play as/have on your team? give some reasons as well if you could! thanks for the help!
Do know that supports make a huge change in the lane, and not just the marksman you pick.
But otherwise, Twitch comes out strong against a Kog'Maw since his marks will and always help him in duels.
(Plus he can end teamfights faster than a full 6 items Kog'Maw)

Kog'Maw is more of a right clicking champion when it comes to team fights,
sure he has 2 skills that gives him peel advantage in some sort of way. But he's more of like mechanicing an Ashe, you gotta be real careful with your positioning, or else you get punished for your wrong doings and you have no escape on doing so, other than your flash.
(He can end team fights faster than any marksman can.)
You can stealth with movement speed from the stealth buff, and it gives you a free attack speed buff after the stealth ends!
The stealth lasts up to 8 seconds with a 16 second cooldown.
With that stealth, you can position anywhere you want without any consequences!
(That is if the enemy hasn't used 
in the specific area you're in) >.>
His Passive + E is the reason he's such a scary champion, since he deals a ridiculous amount of true damage.
His ultimate guarantees him a safe auto attack range that gives him additional a.
TL;DR
Kog needs a team to peel, has great poke / siege / tank shred.
Twitch needs less peel and has better "burst" during team fights with his ult.

- Twitch. (He really needs items to do good though, just remember that before you try to duel anyone that's above your level.)

(sorry for bad english ahead of time) Late game Kog dominates, i like every aspect of him, he has incredible range and a good kit Idk why but i smash every twich i play against (with luci and graves) after playing against him more than around 12 games as adc he just gets stomped on, could just be a cowincidence but idk for sure, i do see him played in high ranks and he does good, i guess to play him right you have to have alot of experience and skill, so i would say kog, and plus you dont have to buy him now! he's free for another 5 days
all the way. If you know what you are doing with him, he becomes an unstoppable force of destruction that can appear out of nowhere and quickly assassinate even tanky targets. He has a lot of weaknesses, but a very high skill cap.
Kogmaw is awful in this "assassin" meta because he has literally NOTHING to save him from a gank. He's basically free kills if you're against a j4 or pantheon jungle. Twitch on the other hand has a VERY weak laning phase but his late game is probably one of the best if played properly. Probably the best adc to play at a high level, and my recommendation if those are your only two choices. I invite you to look at jinx, she has a very safe lategame and above average lane dominance. Ultimately it's up to you, though. There are people who have gotten to diamond playing nothing but urgot.
Hi, I'm a diamond ADC main and i can tell you that at my elo, kog'maw is picked more often than twitch in ranked solo que and heres why:
Twitch: pros: -Hits a huge power spike at 2-3 items (Botrk > Youmuu's Ghostblade > IE) -Has a very strong mid-late game because of his ultimate doing tons of dmg in teamfights -When fed, hes a big threat in teamfights because of his ability to position around the enemy with his stealth -Hes really good at roaming around the map and ganking other lanes because of his stealth.
cons: -very weak early game (the rito nerfs to his poison were too stronk) -He requires landing alot of autoattacks and stacking up his passive on the enemy to get good dmg off on them.
Kog'maw: pros: -hes good at all stages of the game (if u build triforce) -long range on his autoattack (W) and ultimate which is great for teamfights and tower sieging -his dmg late game is insanely high
cons: - no escapes, low mobility
IMO, kog'maw is a much safer ADC to play because he will always deal decent dmg at all stages of the game in comparison to twitch who is definitely more item dependant and requires that you at least go even in laning phase to stay relevant in the game. Twitch can definitely make more plays than kog'maw and he reaches his big power spike faster but his laning phase is very vulnerable (thus you may have to play a passive farm laning phase) which makes him a somewhat risky pick in solo que if you're looking to hard carry.
Just remember to use Exhaust/Ignite

There are three types of ADCs : the casual/normal adc (
, 
, 
etc) ; the caster type ADC (
, 
etc) and the hypercarry (
, 
, ).
Personally, I like to take one of each into my champion pool. My 3 favorite adcs are : , and . The first two have a really safe early game which is important to me because I don't play ADC as much as TOP. I take Vayne if I don't get counterpicked or something.
Twitch has better lane dominance and overall value to team rather then kog'maw in my opinion
it all depends on who you are playing vs. both of them are in weaker spots right now the if you can get some good disengage then kog will be great likewise if you have strong engage twitch would be a better pick. i would say if you enjoy the hyper carry style why not try out vayne and trist they do pretty much the same as twitch and kog but are a little more forgiving and trist is free with a skin if you like riots facebook page or yourtube (i forget which one).
