Has anyone had any success with soraka in a solo lane since her rework? i know people used to play her mid and top befor eher Q got changed. but i havent seen a soraka in a loooong time, is she really that bad now? or is this just another case of everyone stopping playing a champ after they get reworked?

Her Q too easily dodged in league of mobility W can't be used on herself (I think?) E is fine except it doesn't damage minions or monsters R is the same

I'll let you take it from there

I haven't tried Soraka mid, but I might take it into a Zed or the like if I was feeling confident. You won't be doing a ton of damage, but you're mostly there to keep your opponent from snowballing, transitioning into a utility mage with mild damage late game. You will have to be able to maximize damage on Q and E to really succeed, which will either call for amazing prediction or a willingness to get close to your target. Her Q lands almost instantly if you cast it next to where you are standing, so you can easily hit the center if you are near your target, and can get both hits from your E with the Q slow.

I don't think she's bad, she just doesn't fit the meta that calls for an APC in mid, since she won't really be filling that role even if you build pure damage. You should be able to find some videos of Soraka mid on Youtube if you would like to see how it is done. Notably, a lot of the videos I saw of that were made right after the rework, when E was still on a fairly short cooldown.

Trust in the Raka. Gotta throw them bananas.

She is too unreliable to play her solo lane, and barely useful as a support right now. If they improved her Q impact delay and made her E zone slightly larger, I could see her working in a solo lane decently well.

I played her once against a Zed which was very easy because of her giant silence. Otherwise I simply find her to be very reliable. She deals little damage early on and has horrible wave clear. Her damage spikes around 9 especially when you start landing those center Starcalls but even then you need help you actually kill someone. Shes very strong if she survives the laning phase with no casualties and has a high damage oriented team because she can spam Wish and Astral Fusion to completely reset a fight with her good ratios.

If she falls behind and dies there is no hope. Her recovery into late game is on part with someone like Fiora and she has no way to stop a fed enemy laner from roaming.

I've played her in botlane alot especially with lane bullys like graves and lucian since they can play really agressive and still come out on top because of her incredible sustain.

I still play her and imo she is broken in a 2v2 lane.

I do it top a couple times, worked alright. Mid was okay for me, but since I couldn't really apply too much pressure, they could just roam and pick up kills from top/bot. MASTER those starcalls first though. It won't work if you can't land the center reliably.
