Hello. I'm an Unranked preparing for Ranked games (and playing Normals for the 1000th win). I'm great at support, good at jungler and okay at other roles. I started to improve my midlane. After Annie and Lissandra, I started to look for a bursty mage can carry hard and I found Syndra. Is she worth buying or is there any WAY BETTER mages can carry games?
Edit: Anivia came to my mind. I'm confused.
From my limited experience syandra is good but she has a high skill cap and is very mana dependent. If you take the time to practice she can dominate.
I like her still but her stun is stupid hard to hit now after last patch

She's somewhat anti-meta, meaning she doesn't seem the best when just comparing champions but she counters a lot of popular snowball champs. If your main mid laner has trouble against a champion Syndra is good against, consider buying her so you can counterpick.
fizz is bursty and a hard carry :P
kat, leblanc(sometimes) and akali are all solid too.
personally i like syndra though.... kat is great as well :)
DFG, her core is going to be removed next patch and she is going to be nerfed next patch too. Orianna, on the other hand... I'd say not worth ATM. Even Zed, Leblanc (incredibly high burst without DFG) is better IMO.
they nerfed her stun width so it is currently bugging out for some reason. so some people say she is dead. But if you can get the feel for the new width and it hits. She is still powerfeul.
I heard that Riot was considering that they'd gone a bit hard on the Syndra nerfs recently.
That said, get her if you like the idea of playing her; in a competitive sense, though, I'd probably go with .

She got hit hard on the nerfs. Mainly because they broke her stun.
I'd pass on it till she is fixed. After that go for it. She's one of my favorite champions to play.
