Who counters Tristana and Lucian?

Can you tell me please? They're in meta and I don't know their counters. I will buy their hard counter(s). And will he/she be safe?

As for Tristana, a good counter is Draven and Corki (but I do not want to talk about Corki as he is fairly weak right now). Reasons why Draven is a good counter:

  • Your damage will supersede her own early on. Play aggressive, typically alongside a Blitzcrank, Leona, Thresh, or Nautilus that provides hard CC and can disable Tristana from escaping. Deny her early on to further weaken her mid-game.
  • Also, you'll want to keep Tristana near you so her range does not exceed your own, so tanky champions with hooks, pulls, and gap-closers are handy to have by your side. Try not to get kited as you will not have easy time trying to turn on her!
  • Thirdly, a well timed "Stand Aside!" will break Tristana's Rocket Jump, forcing her to land prematurely. If played correctly, you will take no damage and not become slowed; this will throw an enemy off, allowing you to quickly followup with a "Spinning Axe" and "Blood Rush" combo attack.
  • Finally, your ultimate will deal far more damage to that of Tristana's provided you hit her and only her twice. If you manage to do this, your ultimate will deal 350 / 550 / 750 (+ 220% bonus AD) physical damage compared to Tristana's 300 / 400 / 500 (+ 150% AP) magic damage.

As for a "safe pick", Draven can be fairly reliant on a strong early game. He needs to get kills and cash in his passive Adoration stacks to fully snowball. Otherwise, you're mid to late game could suffer, allowing Tristana to eventfully overwhelm you. Just make sure you get catch those Axes, farm up, and get kills!

If you need more tips, check out Tristana's Strategy Page on the Wikia and Tristana's page on Champion Select to help you play against her and more general countering advice.

Actually, Blitzcrank is one of the worst supports to pick into a Tristana, since if she knows what she's doing she can jump out of the hook 100% of the time. Otherwise you're pretty spot on.

He certainly isn't the worst. I agree that there are better options, but if Tristana engages with her jump, Blitz is able to knock her up followed up with a powerful AoE blast and silence. I was really just listing a few different heavy CC supports with hooks.

But thanks!

A smart Trist only jumps in when she knows she'll get the reset immediately. You're correct that Blitz can do that, but practically, the Tristana can outplay that pretty easily.

Blitz's knockup can actually knock Trist out of her rocket jump animation, if she doesn't wait for you to CC her before she jumps, as I am wont to do (I usually panic jump whenever I get grabbed). The silence can also help counter her resets on jumps a bit.

So, Draven counters Tristana , Quinn counters Draven, Tristana counters Quinn. Just like Rock-Paper-Scissors. And, I think Draven doesn't look good. ;)

Vayne seems to counter Lucian and any champ with hard CC counters AD Carries so start there.

Vayne doesn't counter anyone in lane because of the fairly low early game. But if she's fed...

Vayne is the weakest shit in early game. It doesn't really matter how skilled you are, you can only do so much. Usually, when i'm winning with Vayne that because either I'm better than my opponent(not because Vayne is stronger) or Jungle ganks for me.

You forgot Caitlyn :P But, thanks for the advice because my main is Tristana and I hate someone countering me. And, I hate Tristana s against me. And, I asked it for Lucian because he's in the meta right now and I can't do anything without counterplay because he's strong.

Jinx counters Tristana pretty hard if played right. Lucian is basically perma ban for me, he's impossible to catch if he knows what he's doing. Perhaps Draven would be a good pick against him, but I can't play Draven right.

Counter her with zyra as you support, great poke and reasonably enough cc. She keeps trist from jumpin on you. Trist (according to lcs announcers) has a strong lvl 2 trade potential and a strong late game. they also mentioned her mid game recently is weak comparative to in the past. Caitlin is also always good in lane. All in all, counter her with your team.

Other's seem to have Tristana's counters pretty down pat; I actually think Corki is pretty strong right now, not OP, but probably above average. A good Draven counters practically everyone in lane since he out trades basically everyone; honestly I think Draven's biggest counter is himself, and his ability to play well mechanically (and for that I applaud Riot for the narcissistic theme; you have to focus more on Draven when playing him as oppose to other ADCs since you have to place your axes well and position really well to play him effectively)

In any case, Lucian's biggest weakness is his range; He's a decent lane bully with okay scaling into late game. I'd say Caitlyn is his biggest counter right now; she flat out outranges him, she has mobility to counter some of his mobility, and her traps let her really control a lane and cut off areas Lucian would like to move or dash to. Using your traps effectively to choke off a lane is the key, imo. I'd also imagine Kog'Maw would do pretty well against him, since you can keep him at range and also cut off a lot of mobility with your slow (which actually sticks now) and your ult (you can force him to use his dash or zone and push him around in lane). Kog'Maw can abuse his range throughout the game, will also outscale him late, and I feel like he will out trade Lucian in a 1v1 mid-late game. Draven probably also counters Lucian, since he'll out-trade him throughout the game and he also out-ranges him, plus his E can really disrupt Lucian's movements if you aim it well. In my experience, most people who play Lucian are stupidly aggressive, especially now because of his short range. If you play a hyper carry and simply play safe/don't die while CSing well, you win. Lucian will fall off later in the game, if he doesn't snowball in lane phase, it's hard for him to become relevant in the rest of the game. Generally, play controlled; Lucian is more of a champion that thrives in a chaotic-guns-blazing sort of fight. Caitlyn is great for this, and hypercarries who can play safe and not die will outscale him.
