What you should report people for and what you shouldn't.

There is an option to report people for verbal abuse.... Which there shouldn't be. Players have the ability to mute any player on either team so why does this happen? I will tell you. People take this game WAY to seriously. If you got a shit talker or a rager just mute their ass and move on. Only little bitches report. Riot grow a pair of nuts and remove the dumbass reporting system till you get it fixed or you could just keep enabling pussies to be pussies that's cool too. As for offenses that should be reported, people should stick to things that actually have an impact on the game FEEDING and/or AFK. These are things that will change the match in a big way not some melvin bitching in chat.

The mute button is so that players don't have to listen to someone who is verbally abusive.

The report button is so that players don't have to play with someone who is verbally abusive.

It's a small but important difference. You got the point right when you said "People take this game WAY too seriously." however you said it about the wrong group. Video games are for fun, and since we all agreed to not ruin that fun by being verbally abusive when someone comes along who does just that there is a way to highlight their bad behavior and get it rightfully punished. They did agree to not act like that after all, we all did.

Downvoted. Post did not contain the advertised content. You only described one thing for which you believe one should not report. There was no mention of anything for which you should report.

Also, your attitude is terrible.

Only little bitches report.

Only children think verbally abusing others is okay.

Why should anyone have to tolerate that kind of abuse? The mute button is a last resort, not a "pussy tool" as you state it is. How about you instead of being abusive and getting punished as I'm sure you have been - try treating people with respect?

How about we ban ppl for thinking they're good in bronze?

I mean, if we start banning ppl for being bad, then the easiest solution is to ban all bronzies with a sub 50% win rate since by definition if you have a sub 50% win rate in bronze you are terribad at this game.

You sure you want that OP?

Yeah, typically if it gets to the point where I have to mute someone, I've already made up my mind to report them. So it's definitely more of a last resort.

And to answer your questions, yes I would much rather have someone who is doing badly or even AFK on my team than someone who feels the need to berate others, talk down to them, or in any way belittle someone. It is a much worse player experience when this happens.

I agree that verbal abuse should be allowed to an extent, people should mute if they get flustered about it.
