I have recently been trying out Poppy in the top lane in custom games against bots. However, I feel like her earlygame is too weak to handle. I assume that she would be better in the jungle because of the lack of a lane opponent. How is she as a jungler and what do you build on her?
So honestly it depends what you wanna go. Poppy can be equally played as AD and AP and often also as a hybrid. Its debatable which build is the best but I find that Trinity force and Hextech Gunblade work really well on her, Trinity force mostly for ad poppy and hextech gunblade mostly for ap. I have seen swiftness boots and mobility boots work quite well on her due to her passive on her w as well (lots of other boots work too i.e. situationally getting mercurial treads, cooldown boots, ninja tabi...)(as trollish as getting switfness boots may seem). As for jungler items, Rangers Trailblazer: Runeglaive for AP and Stalkers blade: Warrior for AD. Bork works quite well on Ad poppy and lich bane and zephyr work quite well on AP poppy. Within all of this you wanna get tanky. Most of her tank build is completely situational like most tanky building as she has no massive tank mechanic that she has to exploit with a certain item. Thornmail, spirit visage, banshees veil, randuins omen, Titanic hydra... most tank items work on her. Basically in fights you just ult the person who will do the least dmg to you when you go in such as: you go in and wukong on their team is fighting your team, ult him and go after their carries as you have 7 seconds of invulnerability basically (this also works just ulting the person who won't do much to you and this doesn't mean ulting the leona who will lock you down for like 4 seconds of your 7 seconds.

Ad poppy doesnt really scale well with her skills, turning her into vi without mobility or AoE. AP has a ton of burst and you could do a bunch of damage... for about 3 spells, when youre out of mana. Poppy's trash. Play lee sin, riven, or vi.
