My Weird (Yet mostly functional) Builds

UPDATED FOR GNAR

So, I've been playing league for almost a year now (Off and on), and I've got a few tricks up my sleeve I don't often see. I thought I'd post them here for people to look at (Laugh or Weep, your choice). Runes will be up to you, I don't manage people's money for them.

TwistedFate Hybrid Twisted Fate (Mana Bomb On Hit Carry): Muramana Seraph's Embrace Lich Bane Nashor's Tooth Athene's Unholy Grail Boots

Mastery Requirements: Arcane Blade (5% AP in basic Attacks) Blade and Spell Weaving

So you may be wondering "Wtf is up with this build," so I will enlighten you. First, we start with how even as a Hybrid, TF really needs AP to be effective. But why Muramana? Why not Rod of Ages? As a Hybrid, TF will use his basic attacks a lot with Pick A Card, and Muramana add's a good amount of AD. The Toggle is also AMAZING. This build is called the Mana Bomb for a reason. By default, TF has almost 1k Mana at level 18, given that Muramana and Seraph's Embrace each add 1k mana, 2% of 3k is 60 (For AD), and 3% of 3k is 90 (For AP), and then the toggle consumes 3% of current mana to deal twice that amount in bonus damage (For single target and basic attacks). Stack that on top of Spellblade from Lich Bane and the Unique Passive from Nashor's Tooth, you gain a bunch of bonus damage from your AP onto your basic attacks. But wait, there's more! All of this works with Pick A Card as it is a basic attack modifier, and stacks with Stacked Deck, for loads of damage.

For boots, it's situational. You should have full 40% cooldown with Athene's and Nashor's, so Zerker's for Attack Speed, or Tabi or Treads for more defense. Athene's is there to solve the mana problem from prolonged use of abilities and Muramana. If you need more AD, get Essence Reaver Instead, however if you feel you need more AS, grab a Statikk Shiv. This may sound odd, but the increased Attack Speed with crit chance tossed in may give you double base damage in crits. The AS will also help get you more stacked decks, and the shock will help with farm or teamfights (Since TF is only average at Teamfights).

Masteries are pretty straightforward. If you aren't sure which to get, AD Masteries are mathmatically more effective with TF's W, but doesn't affect his Q or E. Spell Weaving/Blade Weaving is really good since you'll be slinging lots of cards out, whether it's your AA or Q. Arcane Blade is pretty much necessary for Hybrid TF, since that adds a bit of damage to his AA's. Expose Weakness is also a good pick, as it increases damage for upcoming attacks for you and your allies after hitting an opponent with an ability, good after a nice gold card. Meditation slows down the mana problem, and if you need more HP regen, grab Strength of Spirit and Recovery, that's about 12 HP per 5 seconds at your expected max mana.

To get a clear view, let's assume you use a blue card with a stacked deck, and full build, max mana. First, do Basic Attack Damage, slap on Blue Card Damage, Stacked Deck Damage. Lich is proc'd via ability use, it's considered a basic attack for Nashor's and Spellblade (Let's not forget Arcane Blade). Muramana Toggle hits. Enough damage modifiers for you?

I've made a little calculation for you guys (level 18 of course): Blue Card Total: AD + (120 + AD + AP/2) + (15 + 15%AP) + (75%AD + 50% AP) + (3%CM x 2) + (5%AP) + (155 + 50%AP IF DECKPROC) AD = 106 + (Masteries) + (Runes) + (Full Build = ~85AD) = 191 to 225 AD AP = (Masteries) + (Runes) + (Full Build = ~350AP) = 350 to 600 AP

So average damage would be 1700 per blue card if we average out (Low average with 200 AD and 400 AP), without a critical hit, before resistances apply.

Part Two! Gnar Demaglio!

Jungle Gnar and Bruiser Gnar: In lane: Boots Frozen Mallet Runaan's Hurricane Sunfire Cape/Banshee's Veil* Blade of the Ruined King Black Cleaver

Mastery Requirements: Sorcery/Fury (5% Cooldown/AttackSpeed)

Okay, so the mastery requirements are a bit low. You can get a full 4 points into those masteries at level 4, but you don't need anything too specific on Gnar other than those. I would keep two mastery pages for Gnar, one for focusing his Megagnar form and one for Minignar (In addition to my standard jungle page for all champs).

This build focuses entirely on MegaGnar, using Runaan's to proc more rage and getting MegaGnar faster. The triple attack may not have an effect on his Megagnar form but it's still a good Attack Speed buff once he's in MegaGnar form. The Frozen Mallet slows escaping enemies and boosts your HP/damage by a bit. Black Cleaver also gives some HP and helps with the gnawing problem of low AD in this build by reducing their armor. Your defensive item is entirely up to you. I suggest either Sunfire Cape or Banshee's Veil, since they both provide good amounts of HP and Armor/Mag Resist, with neat little bonuses.

Masteries are mostly up to you on this build. Since you lack as much AD as you probably would like as Gnar, having AD masteries may help. Though, I balance out between the first two trees, going more Tanky than damage oriented, and maybe 3 points into Fleet of Foot since the kite potential is too real. By the time I've finished applying my current masteries for Gnar, I have about 7/12/3.

In Jungle: Stalker's Blade: Juggernaut Wriggle's Lantern Statikk Shiv Youmoo's Ghostblade Infinity Edge Boots*

Mastery Requirements: See Below

Okay, so to start you off, I am going to tell you what I usually have on my jungle mastery page. Since I am usually a subpar jungler and I have a harder time than most I try to compensate for my slowness by getting masteries that help with monsters and gold gen. My current Jungle page is 7/5/10. You can see it in the attachments.

Items are somewhat typical for a jungler, the Stalker's Blade is a good pick since you have so much CC already, having a bit more just makes it ridiculous. Lantern was meta in the old jungle, and been changed in the new one, but still a good gold-gen item for junglers. It gives a bit of sustain (Which goes well with Feast), and allows you to place a stealth ward, which is nice since I usually use sweeping lens as a jungler anyways. The rest of the build focuses on Crit in one way or another (Other than boots). Gnar gains about 50 HP per level for Megagnar form (About 900 HP at level 18), so you don't need too much health. Your boots should be reserved for your defensive items, building Tabi or Treads depending on the situation. With the good crit chance (60% without runes) and attack speed (70% from lantern and shiv), you'll be doing a lot of damage in either form. What form you are in determines the way you will engage enemies in ganking or teamfights, be it a boomerang spamming poker or teamlocking with CC combos and jumping out.

The order I would build my jungle build is mostly focused on income at the start, buying Hunter's Machete and turning it into Stalker's after my first time back to shop, then I start building an Avarice Blade, then Lantern. The income is real, and sitting on that as I finish building most of my items is what I do (Try doing this on Jungleplank or Jungle Fate, for all the sparklies).

EDIT: Okay, for some reason, while playing summoner's rift I saw Wriggle's Lantern on the item list, and I wasn't able to buy it. I learned from someone you shouldn't be able to buy it on Rift anymore, which explains why I kept going through an off/on seeing it in the shop and not seeing it (While not being able to buy it). More soon to come!
