How to not make a difference in game?

So this one day I figured what if I start playing the game not to win but to not lose. what I mean by that is if I legit farm and dont try to get kills and go to fights but try not to die. and I basically dont play to carry but just to be passive will I win, lose every time, does it depend. I obviously wasnt ganna do too many games like this but out of 4 games it was interesting.

One Game I played nasus and farmed all game after a while I couldnt take anyone in the game so we won. another game I went soraka we werre losing hard at first then came back at the end with a late game vayne. another game I went nid support cause I couldn't think of a support that helped her adc less. and I think I took it to far and they dived my adc and I couldn't do anything but it does make me wounder how much not feeding and just being there makes you brake even. I mean the nid pick was horrible but that aside not doing anything game changing usually makes you win and lose 50/50. if your wondering the last game was a Warwick game where i legit went full tank. they told me to go full tank and I ulti the people they told me too. I figured it was about the same but to be honest that game I did die alot since I was the front line and the only tankie champs so idk if that game counts but I guess it does.
