ValyrianBlade2 votesI was coming here expecting shiv to be part of the build and going to recommend changing to PD - the pbe is lowering the crit chance of ie by 5% and increasing crit of PD by 5% but no change to shiv (also no change to any costs).
If you're getting runaans I don't think you can get LW, you need a defensive item to be the most efficient. Item depends on enemy team and how well your team peels for you.

Listen, you don't need to get LW at all unless you're going against a team of 3 tanks. After IE, just get your

instead. This way you get early as AND tank shreddage at once, plus some lifesteal. After those 3, then you want to build your 2nd crit item. Shiv if behind, PD if ahead. By this point you have more than enough AS so you can grab your BT. This leaves you a slot for a defensive item, I personally like banshee's.

i really hope you're kidding, but it looks like you're not. no one's arguing to get lw early, but for late game armor you're gonna be needing it. get it as one of ur last items at least.

I built LW when I first started playing her, because that's what was on the pros guides. Then I tried other items and realized they worked infinitely better.

The whole point of Bork is that the higher your health, the more damage you do....
the damage from BotRK's unique passive (%current health) is reduced by the targets armor. the passive deals physical damage. you still need a last whisper or BotRK is ineffective against tanks for the purposes of being an ADC
At level 18 base armor scaling puts most champions at ~80 armor and this is without runes and masteries. Last Whisper provides 28 armor penetration against this alone making it more efficient than BotRK. There's absolutely nothing to gain by choosing BotRK over last whisper. You can build BotRK if you want the active and unique passive but you would be crazy to skip last whisper. It's just a core item period.

Take level 18 tank with 200 armor a 4500 health (for simplicity, we'll assume no regen).
35% of 200 is 70, leaving the tank with 130 armor. If half of your AAs do 320 dmg per hit and half of them do 800, you're going to take 13 hits to finish it.
Now if you bring Bork, noting the 15 damage reduction, you will finish in 9 shots. On top of that you can take out 10% of his maximum health at once, 40% more attack speed, and get 10% lifesteal every AA.

It has a great idea behind it, but really needs the right champion to make it really shine. 
is a better choice more often than not if you want to go more offensive, but really after the items you have listed, as an ADC the occasion might call for you to build a defensive item.

I really like Runaan's too, it's just not worth the item slot these days.

Jinx is really the one champion that can pull off this item in its current state. Instant max stacks on Pow-Pow and insane long ranged AoE with Fishbones, especially since she really needs the attack speed with Fishbones...
But yeah I'm not sure why they haven't either given the item a small buff or removed it in 4.20 along with the others.

I like this thread. It has a lot of good thought behind it and shows a lot of good ideas. Remember one thing though; Some items are better or worse than other based on playstyle.
