It's been bugging me when ever i place four wards in bottom side jungle with item 2049 then go topside with the new item 3361 and place the other two, Two of the wards i placed in the bot jungle Vanish?

The max amount of wards you can place is five?

Why is that?

I'm pretty sure the limit is 3 invisible wards, and 1 visible ward. You can't actually use all 4 of the sightstone wards without one disappearing. You can see the number when you're placing a ward (x/3) which is how many wards you currently have in the map.

As to your question of why, I have no idea. I guess they don't want someone to ward the entire map.

It's so you can't justify putting the entire burden of warding on the support anymore. To make everyone else get involved and give supports things to buy other than constant wards.

they made it to encourage non supports to help ward. It's been met with limited success.

Theres a limit because back in season 3 riot tried to make it so supports would have money to buy items with sightstone because they wanted to have supports to have a power curve or something, but what ended up happening is supports would just get boots, sightstone, and then spend ALL of their money on wards, it was common to see supports with just t2 boots and a sightstone @ 30 or 40 mins into the game because if supports don't have a cap on the amount of wards they can place, the only thing they will buy is wards.

it's four max. 3 greens, 1 pink. Riot actually changed this at the beginning of season 4 because in 3, supports were almost always forced to be used only for warding.

Serves a dual purpose: encourages others to ward effectively, and prevents trolly builds like

item 2045 item 2045 item 2045 item 2045 item 2045 item 3274 from being effective
