Is amumu's ult a stun or a snare?

It's kinda always bothered me. Is it supposed to be an stun or a snare?

Every time an enemy amumu has ulted i cant cast spells or even auto attack.

Is this intentional or am i just being an idiot.

Not saying the mummy is broken or op. i just wanna see if anyone else has gone through this trama

It is a unique CC called entanglement. It roots and prevents auto attacks but allows spell casts and does not interrupt channels. If you were unable to cast abilities that are not blocked by roots (movement type) then some additional CC was being applied.

Neither; it is an Entangle. It has it's own unique CC type.
