Runes for Mordekaiser?

I need tips on rune pages for mordekaiser.

Personally, I go flat AP marks and quins, armor seals, mr glyphs.

This is what i use. Magic Pen runes are also valid, since Morde has pretty good base damages. If you're going toplane and don't want to be forced to buy the Hextech Revolver immediately, you may want to consider using Spell Vamp Quints, as it will give you the early sustain you need.

I like resist runes. I play mostly blind pick, but if you are playing draft/ranked you can probably do a bit better. Scaling armor yellows, scaling mr blues, flat AP reds and quints. I imagine that MS quints probably have their place on him, due to his slow speed and the need to actually stay on someone to kill them, if you can't burst.

I'm not the OP, but why flat AP reds instead of MPen reds? The AP reds are a secondary rune while MPen is good on Mordekaiser due to his base damages.

Mostly for the extra damage for farming. I tend to focus more on farming than killing my lane opponent.
