Late game warding

I was curious as to other peoples' opinions on late game vision (Full build). How do you as a team keep up vision if no one has open slots for wards? Does it all just fall on the support's sightstone (assuming they have it)? If no one ends up buying wards late because of a lack of open slots, what is even the point of carrying around red trinket?

Just want to start a discussion to see peoples' opinions on this. I feel this isn't something people normally think about since it only happens in particularly long games.

Building item 2045 is more important that going full build. You deal enough damage as it is, you dont really need 5 damage items or 5 tank items. Or 3 damage 2 tank what ever. Wards = vision = wins > extra damage/ extra sustain.

Do you envision this as being true of all roles? Personally, I feel this is particularly true about junglers and top laners, as ruby sightstone is a tank item in and of itself (obviously not a great one, but still gives some nice health). However, I do feel that late game ADCs need every damage item they can get, and that for them this would not be a good decision. The ambiguous lane would then become mid lane, but then that would also kind of depend on the champ as well.

I would say that in solo Q you cant count on your team buying wards, sure the support is kind of supposed to buy them, but you cant count on it. You could ask the team "should I go full build or should I get wards?" or look at the map, if you have wards about then you can go full build. Look at teamates builds, if they have wards you may not need to buy them, but nicely remind them to place their wards. Its some what situational.

item 3362 would also help. This way at least you could ward baron.

As a Support main, I'd settle for people buying wards at all. They run around with empty inventory slots and then yell at me for only having 3 greens and 1 pink on the ground.

Well the way I see it is supports can ward 4 times (3 visions, one pink) and 3 other champs can use their trinkets (either vision or pink). The other person (jungler), can have sweeper along with the support.

So if everyone is full build and cannot buy wards (highly unlikely), there would always be 7 wards in the jungle.
