The reason why ELO Hell Exists

It isn't that players are so god awful that you can't win - because you can. You can literally tell your team exactly what to do and how to play to win. Even if they are bad players it does not matter you can still win.

The reason that ELO hell exists however, and why some games are unwinnable are because of pig headed teenagers and 20 some odd yeared man children. Take for instance my experience. I main support and jungle. I have been in silver since season 2 and been to 31 promos. In silver I fly thorugh 5-1 no matter what and get stuck @ promos and then usually have a huge losing streak because mmr matches me with a "certain" kind of player once I reach too high without crossing the streams.

There is no game you cannot come back from even if your team is bad - they key is that they just need to listen to the guy who knows hat I am doing. I have over 1k games as support, not as many as jungle but playing these roles - I know macro strategy. I know how to win games. When we have an advantage - I am shouting to my team "GROUP 5". When we are down - "Defend 4 ward objectives player X split push for us and ward up so you don't get caught".

I am no pro but the tiny nuances of when and what to do I do know pretty well. Even if we are behind I can speak about a strategy that will win us the game - it has been out long enough and simple enough it isn't hard to do. What really makes ELO hell a reality however is that MOST PLAYERS IN SILVER AND GOLD DO NOT DO THE CORRECT THINGS TO WIN, AND IGNORE AND TROLL THE PLAYERS TRYING TO TELL THEM WHAT TO DO.

If a guy knows what he is ding and says- we are ahead by x we need to group. Please listen to him next time in your games. That is really the difference between winning and losing. Even if its the wrong call its still a call. If you all do the same thing then it most times works out instead of each player doing his own thing. PLEASE LISTEN!!

I looked at your game history on op.gg

A recent game you played as Lucian you went 1 kill and 13 deaths. You built a bork then boots with enchantment. Seems odd to go for Bork in the first place let alone be it your first item. Also getting Furor boot enchantment before your next damage item seems like a waste of gold as well. I won't even ask about 100 cs in 30 minutes. Maybe the problem isn't your team?

Classic example of YOUR Underlined lel version of elo hell, elo hell isnt anything of this world (possibly) it is more of how you think it is since there isnt any physical OR virtual evidence of it existing since there is no definitive definition - dunno if that makes sense but k

There is millions of users experiential evidence. Speaking of smarty pants. Who made logic logical? Some iranian dude decided 1 would be 1. Meaning logic can only be really subjective at its core since mathematics and communication, facts are all in the end decided by the individual. Take that to semantics court.

If a couple team players feed and go 0-4 or worse in the first 10 mins, it becomes increasingly difficult for an ADC main such as myself to do anything else besides win my own lane, which can be hard considering if their midlaner is fed and starts 3v2 bot lane. Its very easy to say what you are saying versus actually winning a game that have fed enemies unless of course you yourself are fed. Example, Nasus will feed a Vlad giving him "god-like", now our Jungler can't help because he is too OP, Vlad pushes and takes tower in first 12-13 mins. He roams bot or mid forcing me or mid lane to lose CS and in bronze they're mid lane or adc can capitalize with a fed teammate and win battles that are 3v2 in are favor

Bronze silver gold and plat arent even about teamwork, you can literally 1 man carry without your team by stomping if youre skilled enough. If you arent you deserve to be where you are. Remember that the other team is JUST as likely to receive "pig-headed" teammates and trolls, more likely than your team is in fact because you are a member of your own team, you get 4 randoms, the other team has 5 randoms. Theres the math, if you belong higher than where you are, youll advance, elo hell is a really bad state of mind to get in to, because you believe that there is an excuse other than your own gameplay to justify where you are. Shit happens, and some games arent your fault, but like i said, if youre good enough, over time youll move upwards np.

So what group do you fall into? If a player isnt a teenager or 20-something, then what are you left with... thats like 95%+ of the playerbase

To my advice to those other players that are good enough to move up but are stuck BE VOCAL...VERY VOCAL and know what to do when to do it.
