picking up renekton last night and was doing some theory craft/looking up builds and nobody seems to mention building deadman's or why they dont. after 2 games of building it i liked the move speed to get the back line or to help get to objectives. the first auto dmg can be pretty big when combo'd with hydra(either) and using the auto canceling with w.
so is it bad or what?
Pretty much any time you want to buy Randuins, just get Deadman's instead.

It depends on the game.
If the enemy team looks like this:
(Trinity Force Braum GET HYPE) for example, Randuin's would certainly be the better choice. Lot of crit on this team (Karthus's Q single target damage counts as crit and is reduced by Randuin's IIRC).
