I placed in Platinum 2 at the beginning of this season from going 6-4. I was diamond 3 last season so that old Match-making rating affecting my placements for this season.
My best advice to help you TRULY climb: Try to have fun and focus on your own gameplay. You see countless threads about players complaining about their teammates and how awful ranked is. Well thats why they don't climb. They're too busy blaming other ppl and factors they can't control instead of trying to improve their own gameplay. I'm saying this as a Diamond 3 player. If you really want to get better and climb, focus on your own gameplay. Try to fix all the mistakes you make. Watch repalys of your old games to see what mistakes those are. Watch high elo streams of players playing your favorite role/champion and pick up tips from them.
Boy you hype as shit like you're about to go overseas on an expedition or some shit. It's just league lol have fun.
Got placed in b1 last season and got to p5, sitting at p4 right now after being replaced in gold. Take your time and learn 4/5 positions solid. Then start the climb.
learn the basics but be the best at them. This game is common sense anyone with an actual brain can get diamond or without one. Hell 3/4 of the plat/diamond players i play against i legit think they have a brain problem like down syndrome or something they just play that bad. Just learn farming map awareness damage out puts and how to take objectives. all you need to be diamond 5 atleast.
I went 8-2 in my provisionals and got put in silver 1. I dropped to silver 3 and then eventually climbed back up to gold 5
i got placed silver 5 was gold 4 last season i was pretty dissapointed but now im plat 5
Went 8-2 and got G5 then skipped immediately to G3 and havent really played ranked since.
