New Jungle

Hi, So I play top and support mostly, but I'm passable at mid and ADC. Jg is the only role I'm not versed in. That said, I used to jungle a LOT in s4 - mostly Nautilus, but I jungled probably 1/6 of my matches, so I understood it well.

Since the release of the new jg, I've only played a few matches (as Nautilus, which was not fun) and am looking for a small list of viable jg champs being used atm. I know Yi is very viable, but he feels like a fairly "eh" choice in the fun-to-play dept. I've also seen a fair bit of Fidds, WW and j4. Tbh, I've only really seen a small handful of champs in jg.

Lets see some suggestions! :D

J4 lee fiddle pantheon, and rengar all very strong champs

Okay. I like those champs, but do you know of any sort of "less common" selections? I'm not a huge fan of "flavour of the month," but until I get the hang of the new jg, I'd love to play those ones.

Personally, my favorite jungler is - strong, fun, fairly good clearing, nice ganks, not overpowered innately...

But she's also somewhat FotM. If you're looking for less common, I'd go with Sejuani , Shyvana , Nautilus , Maokai .

Other champs would need a very strong leash.

Uh I play mid Jungle and gnar jungle sometimes, but the new jungle is so damn hard to clear for all the tanks jungles like rammus and see.

That's what I've noticed. How do you think jg Leona would do in the new jg? I remember playing her passably in s4 jg every so often and she did okay. Her ganks (provided you can land E>Q combo) pretty much guarantee kills for someone.

Ever since they made her passive only apply to ALLIES her non support roles have been turned to trash. CCing and takeing damage is her role. You also would depend on your lane to do a lot of the damage with her. The best thing I can say is in SoloQ stick with junglers that can support a gank (ie. CC, snare, or heavy burst) as well hold their own (Vi, J4, Lee) and not just get bullied all the time. You need a blend of personal damage and CC.

That's really sad. I played her support last night, actually, and was suprised at how bad she feels, now.

If you're not 100% confident in the new jungle and want to contribute I would really suggest Warwick . I know he isn't top tier atm... but he can be very powerful when done right. Bronze-EarlyGold I can see WW catching people off guard since he is a very safe (noob) pick. And most people have no clue how to use him. Don't Ult in to close gaps. Save your R for as long as you can, you can trick people into over committing. Run long ways cut off the enemy and give your allies a few seconds to play catch up, also try and burn a summoner 4 before jumping in. Or burn their , knock out wards , and double back around and wait for them to get stupid. And learn to toggle blood-scent!
