After many many games of playing support and always doing well in bot lane but seeing other lanes lose and then lose a game I got discouraged.
Then I tried mid lane Vel and omg it works so well for me.

I don't know how we won that game, bur we did.
So my question is this, should I keep at Vel mid lane/supp to hopefully climb to Silver?
Ride it out as long as it works. If you struggle a little switch it up and come back to it later. You'll find the climb can be a little faster
If you get into mid lane I recommend playing kassadin/ahri/azir. Azir is a bit harder than most champs but once you get the hang of him he can do a lot. Good luck on the climb and nice job!
Thats wonderful that you finally made some progress, no matter how shit everyone else can be sometimes you trudged through and found someone you really enjoy, too.
Also, 
isone of the number 1 solo queue mid laners atm but very underrated simply because of lack of disengages.
