-he pushes like a preggo -if i leave lane to roam he gets my tower ez post 6ish or even before -cant really aggro on him that easy since he got dat gay suppress and his space aids if i get too close
-wat do i do? is it worth roaming in excahnge for a tower if it allows you to roam more afterward anyways?
lux, ziggs, and xerath are all good choices to counterpick him(if possible. i get sometimes that counterpicks cant happen like in blind pick or TB) Pretty much any champion that outranges him. Also try to abuse him pre 6 if you are unfortunate enough to be playing an assassin vs him. Most of the time he cant kill you too easily without his ult.
Also for some reason Ekko works on him. Probably due to the pre 6 abuse malz has trouble with Malz main btw
1.Pick someone who can push back, like Morgana. 2. Ask your jungle to gank before the lane starts, Malzahar has to escape from ganks. so he is very weak against ganks.
play someone likes ziggs against him because range just makes him useless and dont roam too much unless you know he has just based or whatever
Malz is weak af against ganks.
He also has some like no escapes and he moves pretty slow. Just get your jungle to gank from the get go and try to kill him as much as possible before level 7 or 8.
The rule of thumb is that Malz doesnt have a natural lane counter, but champs that push hard generally do well against him. Heim and morg are both decent choices for example. However, he's also dominates 1v1's so I recommend getting your jg to help you when you fight him. For what it's worth, I do pretty well against malz with Azir. He's still a pain though.
OR, choose someone who you can easily farm under tower with and have your jg snowball other lanes provided you can cs well.
xeraph and ziggs are the two best counters in my opinion. They both have strong wave clear and can poke a lot from far range. Malzahar is a short ranged mage champ so he can get zoned pretty hard by poke.
Try to buy this item. It helps so much, wait for him to ulti you to use it.

's charm if you shoot it off before he ults and it hits him it will knock him out of his ult other then that she can poke him down pretty well and her kitey-ness is nice on everything but his ult. I main and i generally go even against malz just play safe and poke. outside of that everyone else that everyone else said are probably better at countering malz
Just like the above posts about pushing harder than him and using champs that out range him. Also, because malz has no escapes, any pressure at all from a jungler can easily turn the lane in your favor
