-so i was bot and the other lane went b as well as my adc -i was at full hp so i wanted to push the lane to deny other adc minions; i still wanted to back because i had items to buy -i had crappy ass push so i left the wave where the melee minions would get hit by the enemy turret but not the caster ones because i had to leave and couldnt push the next wave or else the other bot would come -he said i was a fkin troll for leaving the minion wave there lol

----why is leaving the wave there so bad because you deny the enemy adc the melee minions anyway? they can freeze it and you'll end up having to overextend for your minions? -is it better to just go "fok the minions" and go b if you cant push to their tower by the time they get back?

Don't push by yourself as the support

It's general better to try an let the entire wave get destroyed by the turret so that it resets in the middle, but if the enemy bot lane gets back before you, they should naturally push the wave back in your favor by the time you return.

Or at least that's what I think. I'm not an expert at wave management.

If you want to back, you should go with your adc immediately so you arrive back to lane at the same time. And if you can't push, don't do it... a partial push will just let the enemy adc freeze it or keep the wave pushed in the enemy's favor. You don't want to give them that kind of control. It wasn't left in a good spot if your ADC was complaining...

He probably got mad at you because if you push the lane while he's back, your adc is going to get to the lane before the enemy adc can push it back to the middle or towards your tower. Basically, you pushed it out while he was backed, and then (I'm assuming) you backed right after that. So your adc arrives in lane near their tower. They are unsafe, and you won't be back for a while. It makes it very unsafe for them to farm or get levels, meanwhile the enemy adc is getting levels + minions.

Especially if they have an engage support, your adc is extremely unsafe to farm. They will have to wait for you to get back.

It depends really. If your wave of minion naturally walked up to the enemy tower and lost 3 melee minions, it was a good push. The opponent wave stop to kill your 3 magi-minions and will receive their reinforcement before you lane and basically will have more minion pushing to you side. Which will allow your adc to freeze at his tower if he so choose.

However, it your wave of minion stopped a significant amount of time, they might receive their reinforcement before all the magi-minions dies. Which would allow the enemy adc to freeze under his tower. I don't know which one of the scenario you did.

Also it depends on the state of the wave at start if the momentum is already toward your lane, it might better to stay and only freeze it up to your own tower until your adc come back. It could be safer.
