New Jungling itemization

Pretty late in posting this but I need an in-depth explanation of the new jungling item setup. I don't play jungle but when I do I usually go with whatever is recommended on that champion. I want to be able to branch out, but to do it intelligently. Or to take a glance and be able to tell what each one does and how my jungler (or the enemy jungler) can be expected to play.

So what I am looking for is a break down of each item and enhancement and what they do, when to build it and who to build it on. I have a feeling this has been done before so if that's the case just send me a link or something to where I can learn more about it.

Hello, I wrote this for somebody else asking about the new Jungle items. I didn't write anything for the enchantments, but this should give you a general idea bout the Smite upgrades:

item 3711 - Poacher's Knife: The main Counter Jungling item, this item is designed to benefit dedicated Counter Junglers the most. Realistically speaking, Nunu is basically the only champion that uses this item well.

item 3713 - Ranger's Trailblazer: The main Power Farming item, Blasting Smite helps out the champions who need help sustaining the most and is regarded as the easiest and most universally applicable Smite to use. All champions can use this item to successful degrees, but I personally best recommended on most tanks and/or champions with weak early games.

item 3715 - Skirmisher's Sabre: Challenging Smite is weird in concept compared to execution. It's supposed to be a dueling item, however if you're going out of your way to look for duels, you're probably already ahead of the enemy team's duelists and likely don't require Challenging Smite at all; in fact you probably would want Chilling Smite (the next one) more if this is the case. Personally, I like the idea of using this item on Assassins and off Assassins, as its damage potential is the greatest, and the damage reduction it offers can help protect an Assassin from their target counter attacking.

item 3706 - Stalker's Blade: Generally noted to be the ganking item, this Smite is easily the best in my opinion when you are either already ahead or can set your teammates up to snowball. It has the ability to slow champions (going to be reworked to a movement steal) which means movement-speed-based enemy laners are especially prone to your ganks. It grants every champion utilizing it more sticking power, and in general is powerful on powerful gankers, snowballers, or Hyper Carries/Raid Bosses.

I kinda disagree with the first guy but I'll just give you a couple tips. If you are jungling and on your first back you feel you wont be able to gank any lanes early on then buy the trailblazer and switch it to chilling smite later on. Don't always rush chilling just because your champ is best with it.

Second you need to gank less than before but more on point. Don't spam ganks or you will fuck yourself in xp/gold with the new jungle.

Third, Poachers is amazing with the new double smite on most invade junglers. Take something like Jarvan or Rengar and you can clean an entire side extremely quickly while getting away with ease or fighting the enemy jungler along with it.

Always remember to adjust your smite early on depending on how the game is flowing. Maximize the use of which smite you will be using.
