Leaving your adc to ward

Well sense everyones games are crashing I guess I'll do this to pass some time. Sometimes when I go to ward my adc will get engaged on/die or whatever. Is there an optimal time to ward or were they just bad or? This really annoys me when this happens and is there anything to do to help the situation?

Just some additional info to give you an idea of when I do ward. If the lane is pushed to me I usually only only ward the closest bush by doing it over the wall. If the lane is pushed to them I like to go out and drop tons of wards. A pink in the tri, one at drag, one in the closest bush, then use the other one to do whatever like ward a buff or a lane bush. I also clear some wards here. When the lane is in the middle I try to be quick and make sure not to get caught out (But sometimes I do no body's perfect xD)

So is there any way to prevent my adc from getting engaged on while I'm gone?

This problem happens all the time when you're supporting, i like to tell them i'm warding so stay back for a little while but if the adc you're playing with is a monkey on a keyboard then wait untill the enemy is pushed under tower and be quick about ti :p i can't think of any secret tricks or anything Dx

Ask the enemy pretty please?

But in all seriousness if you leave when you are pushed it's normal your ad takes it up the bum, he/she is far from the turret so it's more room to chase and damage the ad since you are not there

roam and ward only when the enemy backs or you killed them

Depends on the positioning and health of your opponents. If they are full health, they are a lot less afraid of your adc. Also if one of them backs, its a great time to ward. Their solo adc won't go for an engage and a solo support does not create a lot of pressure for you to worry about.

The best thing is is to let the ADC back up a bit. I main ADC and when my supp tells me to ward there always happens to be the jgler ready to meet me

I main both support and adc (so i guess i know the struggles of both). There have been so many times when I leave to ward and my adc will get completed destroyed in about five seconds. I'm not sure why most of them choose to engage, since whenever I'm adc I usually stay close to my support or play extremely safe whenever they ward. I think you should probably set some rules down (i'm serious) and tell your adc when you need/want to roam/ward so they'll know to stay safe. A good time to ward is usually when your jungler is nearby so if you ever get ganked or engaged on, you can easily have your jungler countergank. That said, I don't like having to go out into the fog of war to ward by myself because there is always a chance of getting caught and killed so have someone on your team accompany you or follow your jungler around and ward as you go.
