it's them saying i'll fill as long as i don't get that position, it's helpful and not helpful. It infers that they are decent at any of the lanes other than the one they asked not to have, but it can also cause confusion
I usually say "Anything but jungle"! I agree with what you are saying OP though. I can start to tell what is going to happen before the game even begins but the amount of communication, or lack there of.
So pro tip #1 If you want to win more games, communicate more with your team, being silent in champ select is about as bad as trolling, you're only hindering yourself by not doing so.
