Rune pages or champs?

So i'm a bronze scrub here with a champion pool of about 40 champions but of those I'd say only 10-15 actually count as champions I like playing or know how to. With a "decent" champion pool should I bother getting the 3 more pages that I need or keep getting champions to widen my variety? Do I even need more pages to climb out of low elo? If not at what point should I start getting them? Some of my roles are very lacking in champs but at the same time some of my champs aren't getting full utility from a custom rune page. Currently I'm sitting on two pages that I finished in July or so. Would now be a good time to make more or should I wait? Thank you very much and I eagerly await replies. :)

Okay, thanks for the tips everyone! I think I'll work on getting one page for now, get that set up, grab a few champs, then grab another page and repeat. That way I will still be able to increase my champion pool, but during the time I'm getting pages and runes I will have extra time to work on upping my skill on specific champions. (also having an extra page or two will help when I do normals with friends and want to try out a specific thig then I dont have to undo and redo a page.) For the time being I'll focus on honing my skills on a handful of champs. I'm getting Bard and Nami when they go on sale so that will help fill my lacking roles and give me something new to work with if I get bored of the ones I'm training. Again, thank you all for the advice and I hope that I can find the happy medium of when I need another page and when I need another champion. Best of luck to you all!

I highly suggest getting at least 4 total rune pages, 5 if possible, before buying more champions.

One for ADC, one for APC, a brusier page, a jungle page, and depending on what supports you play, a support page (tbh I just use my APC CDR page for support)

Even after those, you'll need more. I still need a few more for some specific champs like Singed, but as it stands my pages are: APC, APC CDR, AP Pen, ADC, ADC CDR, Move Fast, THE WALL, Attack Speed, and a AP & Health page that I honestly don't know why I have.

If you already own 40 champions, focus on learning a few of them while getting the rune pages.

Search up "phreak rune pages" on youtube for general rune pages for every role. Tbh in low elo from bronze-gold just general rune pages will suffice.

I'd reccomend getting every champion before focusing on getting multiple different rune pages. Many times (at least if you play solo-queue with a friend), you can counter-pick eachother's lanes creating multiple positive matchups. Rune pages are nice, but aren't really worth sacrificing characters over.
